Durham & Sunderland One Act Festival

Durham & Sunderland One Act Festival

07 March 2018 - 10 March 2018 7.30pm
Tickets £5.00

Arts Centre Washington plays host to the first Durham & Sunderland One Act Festival, when seven amateur drama groups from the area take part in this Qualifying Round for the All England Theatre Festival.

The plays will range from Shakespeare to modern drama, and will include three works by local authors being given their first performances.

On the Saturday the adjudicator, Sue Doherty, GoDA, will decide which group should go forward to the Northern semi-final at Port Sunlight – and hopefully still further to the All England Final. She will also award trophies, including those for the Best Actor and Best Actress, and a New Writing Award. Come and watch all the plays – and see if you agree with her decisions!
